Background

Timothy H. McCalmont Dermatopathologist

I am intrigued by the full spectrum of diagnostic dermatopathology and have focused on advancing diagnosis in the field. Our unit has been particularly active as a bridge between conventional microscopy and molecular methods.

In the realm of cutaneous lymphoma, our service provides comprehensive consultation and classification utilizing detailed conventional microscopy, immunophenotyping, and genotypic analysis.

We also provide primary and secondary opinion interpretations of a large volume of challenging melanocytic neoplasms, including the clinical application of comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). In a more traditional vein, I continue to enjoy the breadth and diversity of cutaneous adnexal tumors.
