Since our founding by Dr. Philip LeBoit in 1987, the UCSF Dermatopathology and Oral Pathology Service has been a trusted resource for medical and dental professionals around the world, providing expert analysis and insight. While the majority of our referrals involve analysis of tissue and interpretation of slides, we have expanded throughout our history to offer a wide range of dermatopathology and oral & maxillofacial pathology services, including immunofluorescence, molecular testing, and immunohistochemical analysis.

Every specimen that passes through our CLIA-certified lab is issued a diagnosis by one of our internationally recognized dermatopathologists or oral pathologists. All test results are timely and precise, no matter how routine or challenging the case may be.
