Jarish N. Cohen, MD, PhD

Assistant Professor

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 with a degree in Bioengineering. I then attended the University of Virginia where, in 2014, I obtained an MD and PhD in Immunology. After residency in Anatomic Pathology and fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco, I completed a Dermatopathology fellowship at UCSF in 2019.

I currently practice clinical dermatopathology and pursue basic research towards understanding the immunologic basis of inflammatory dermatoses and alopecias. My clinical interests are wide-ranging and include the genetics of heavily pigmented melanocytic neoplasms and cutaneous soft tissue tumors, as well as characterizing the immunophenotypic landscape of inflammatory skin diseases.
